Pros-Close to all the action, modern clean facility with a lane pool to share. Basement parking with lifts to your floor. Full kitchen and laundry facilities. Bed is very comfy, as are pillows. Nice thick robes to wear.Has aircon.Yay! Cons-Layout a bit strange. Open only door for a breeze, no window. Stairwell intrudes into ensuite/ laundry. Need to be a contortionist to access wash machine. Couch is very low and uncomfy. Had to use bed to layout suitcases. Without a major layout reno, I think the couch could be replaced and a luggage rack or two placed near the door, and the bedroom tv be in working order. Management and workers very helpful and friendly. Would I go again? Indeed I would!

This is our second time staying here & it doesn't disappoint ,fabulous, spacious suites, Great location on the bay, close to all restaurants , the grounds are beautifully landscaped, secure underground parking, extremely friendly staff, would highly recommend

Great location, good coffee next-door and Terra restaurant very close. Loved being so close to everything and the beach. Comfortable clean room. The pool was great for some morning exercise. We were very happy with our short stay here.

My wife and I stayed at the Waterfront Suites for three nights in October 2023. Our room was very nice and well-appointed, and the location was perfect. I would have rated it as five stars except for the very poor internet connection through the Wi-Fi. When I brought it up at reception, I was told to call an outside number (I have to say that the personnel were lovely – this is a management decision). As I didn't have a NZ phone, I had to call from reception. Of course, no one answered, and we had to put up with very slow, or non-existent internet access for our entire stay (I couldn’t even upload a single image). A good internet connection is essential these days, almost as important as electricity. Making the guest call a third-party service provider is akin to having to call the local electric company when the power is out. Waterfront management should improve the connection and take control of support.

Stayed in room 108 - has pool right outside front door which would be a big plus in summer. The room is great - kitchen has everything and more you want, good facilities and washer/dray, heat pump … Perhaps the only down side is the disability shower and not a long enough curtain which means the water tends to to go everywhere - a mop would easily solve the problem aided by the tiles being heated. The place is five minutes or less to the ferry to Russell, and same time to bars and cafes in town.

This was a last minute choice and a great one. Really impressed with the room and facilities. Everything you need and more. The heat pump kept us toasty warm. Kitchen fully kitted out with dishwasher, full fridge, microwave, hobs and full oven. Sky tv. Swimming pool was warm enough to swim in in winter. Quiet room mostly except when the someone showers upstairs. But that is pretty much standard in an apar**ent. Really handy to the heart of Paihia. Charlotte’s Kitchen is the best place to eat. Shopping just around the corner in Williams Rd. Fav shop Flying Fish Design is filled with NZ made goodies. Across the road there is delicious fudge. Coffee at Letz is great. We would definitely stay again.

I was looking for the best place in paihia that would be close and convenient with disabled access. The waterfront suites offer all this and more. Absolutely recommended for luxury, convenience and facilities. Staff were cery helpful too. Cheers

We stayed here for a few days whilst we were visit Bay of Islands. The suites have a living room / kitchen with TV, cooker & dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower & washing machine / tumble drier. They also have air conditioning. The site has a basement car park. It's right in the centre of town with good access to shops & restaurant's and is right on the sea front. Its also a 2km (25m) walk to Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

Our "suite" was not what we expected from the pictures on the web site. There was nowhere to put our suitcases, which we needed on a daily basis, except on the floor of the lounge room. There was very little cupboard space and only 2 drawers. Storage space in the bathroom was limited to one small shelf. We were on the ground floor with no view, but still had to haul our suitcases up and down stairs for check in and check out. The lid of the top loader washing machine had to be held open to get washing in and out. And there was no way to get fresh air other than to leave to front door open, and no way to keep it open. Other apar**ents may be better.
